-

Goldman Sachs Alternatives has agreed to acquire a majority stake in Numantec an Italy-headquartered global developer, manufacturer, and distributor of infusion medical devices, from Italy-based White Bridge Investments and other existing shareholders.

“It has been a privilege to partner with Numantec and its management team on this journey,” said Marco Pinciroli, chairman and CEO of White Bridge Investments. “The next chapter calls for greater scale and investment capacity, and in Goldman Sachs Alternatives the company gains a partner with the healthcare track record and the global platform to deliver it.”

Goldman Sachs Alternatives will partner with management on the company’s next stage of growth.

“The company is well positioned at the intersection of several attractive trends in the medical devices sector, underpinning our conviction in the investment opportunity,” said Adam Dawson, managing director and global co-head of Healthcare Private Equity at Goldman Sachs Alternatives. “We look forward to leveraging the Goldman Sachs Value Accelerator to support continued organic growth and accelerate the company’s expansion through strategic acquisitions, broadening its product portfolio, enhancing channel access, and strengthening its international footprint.”

Numantec employs approximately 600 people and operates seven manufacturing facilities across Europe and the US.

“In Goldman Sachs Alternatives we have found a partner who understands our sector, shares our ambition and brings the resources and international network to help us grow further. I cannot wait to get started,” said Gabriele Giovanelli, Numantec CEO.

Numantec was advised by JP Morgan (sole M&A advisor), Houlihan Lokey (debt advisor), White & Case, Giovannelli e Associati, BCG, Deloitte, Plante Moran, Gatti Pavesi Bianchi Ludovici Studio Associato, ERM, Intexo and Willis Towers Watson.
