2EyesVision, a Spain-based ophthalmic technology company backed by Bullnet Capital, has appointed Máximo Gómez as CEO to lead the company’s next phase of growth and international expansion. He replaces founder Carlos Dorronsoro who will take on the role of Chief Innovation Officer (CIO) while continuing to serve as chairman.
The new structure strengthens the company as it accelerates its international expansion. 2EyesVision has recently signed an exclusive distribution agreement with Guangzhou DMK Technology for mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau. It is also in talks to advance its entry into India and continues to strengthen its position in the US.
Gómez, who joined 2EyesVision in 2025 with the goal of driving its strategy for growth, business development and international expansion, brings nearly three decades of international experience in the healthcare sector. He spent 10 years at Johnson & Johnson and a decade at Abbott.
2EyesVision, originally launched by CSIC scientists, has been backed by the ERC, CSIC, the Community of Madrid, Spain’s Ministry of Science and Innovation, EIT Health, Horizon 2020 (European Union), Bullnet Capital, Neotec-CDTI, Innvierte-CDTI, ENISA, and Luminate.
