Belgium-based private equity investor, Gimv, is taking a significant stake in Ambulantis, a Germany-based group of outpatient care facilities, in support of a growth plan with the company’s founders and managing directors, Dr Stefan Buchkremer, Richard Simm and Dr Matthias Weber. They remain key shareholders.

Ambulantis is committed to enabling people in need of care to lead a fulfilling life in their own home or nursing home communities. The company offers nursing care including outpatient care, day care, care in assisted living facilities and residential care communities. It currently employs more than 500 people and operates in six cities in northern and eastern Germany.
