France: Praemia REIM appoints Lionel Paquin as CEO

Praemia REIM, a key European real estate asset management player with an asset portfolio over half of which is in the healthcare/education sector, has appointed Lionel Paquin as Group CEO as part of a leadership transition. His appointment will enable Praemia REIM to enter a new phase of growth and innovation, serving institutional, wealth and retail investors across France and Europe.

Paquin brings extensive asset management experience gained within the Société Générale Group and later at Amundi. Over 14 years, including eight years as CEO, he transformed and developed Lyxor AM into a leader in institutional and retail solutions, particularly in alternative investments. He has expertise in asset management, knowledge of alternative real assets, and an understanding of the expectations of major institutional investors and distributors.

He succeeds Laurent Fléchet, who is handing over after 15 years leading the group, a period marked by the profound transformation and development of Praemia REIM. Over this time, Praemia REIM has become a leading pan-European real estate asset manager, through: Growth in AUM from less than €1bn to more than €33bn; the emergence of the largest independent pan-European real estate asset management platform with more than 1,700 assets across 12 countries, and a presence in Germany, France, Italy, Luxembourg, Spain, the UK and Singapore; its position as a leading healthcare real estate manager in Europe, with €17bn in AUM and more than 750 assets across eight countries.
