Gustav Segerberg has been appointed as CFO of EQT, effective 18 July, and will succeed Kim Henriksson, who has decided to step down following nearly eight years in the role. Henriksson will remain with EQT as a senior advisor, supporting the transition and contributing his experience to EQT and its portfolio companies.
Segerberg has held various senior positions at EQT over the past decade and been instrumental to its growth, both as a member of the executive committee (since 2022) and most recently as head of the CEO Office. He has overseen some of EQT’s major M&A activities – including its major step into Asia with Baring Private Equity Asia, the combination with Exeter Property Group and its entry into secondaries with Coller Capital – as well as organic growth initiatives like the expansion into private wealth.
“Having worked closely with [Segerberg] for many years, I have the utmost confidence in his ability,” said CEO Per Franzén. “His deep understanding of EQT’s strategy, business model, and stakeholder relationships makes him exceptionally well placed to take on this role.”
Before joining EQT in 2016, Segerberg spent eight years in SEB’s corporate finance division
