Pflegende Haende, a home care provider based in Bad Schwartau, Germany, is becoming part of the DAHEIM Group. Luebeck-based DAHEIM took over the business operations of the care provider, founded by Silke Horn, with effect from 1 July.
Through the acquisition, DAHEIM is securing the future of an established, locally rooted care provider while continuing its growth beyond the Luebeck city limits. It aims to expand high-quality home care services throughout the region.
“The move into Bad Schwartau is an important milestone in DAHEIM’s continued development,” said DAHEIM managing director Cornelia Wolter. “For more than 30 years, Pflegende Haende has stood for personal care and reliability within the local community. We want to preserve this strong local identity and develop it further under the umbrella of the DAHEIM Group. For us, this is the right way to grow responsibly beyond Luebeck.”
Silke Horn deliberately chose DAHEIM as a long-term partner.
“I felt that the time had come to place responsibility in new hands,” she said. “It was important to me to find a solution that puts our patients, employees and long-standing relationships first . . . and in DAHEIM I have found a partner that shares our values and will continue to provide care to the same high standard that our patients are accustomed to.”
Care for the provider’s nearly 100 patients will continue without interruption.

DAHEIM, which employs more than 100 people, has been part of Alvia Capital since 2025. Alvia is an investment firm based in Hamburg, which is building a group of companies in the health and social care sector. Its range of services includes home nursing care, intensive care, specialised homecare services and wound management, making it one of the leading care providers in Schleswig-Holstein.
Esche Schuemann Commichau provided legal advice to the buyer, while the seller was advised by the law firm Dr Britta Specht, Martin Gollasch, Uwe Paetzmann Rechtsanwaelte.
