Australia: Michael Baker to succeed James Garner as CEO at Percheron Therapeutics

ASX-listed Percheron Therapeutics, an international biotechnology company focused on developing novel therapies for oncology and rare diseases, has announced changes to the company’s
executive leadership.

Dr Michael Baker has been appointed to the role of managing director and CEO, effective 5 October. He succeeds Dr James Garner, CEO and managing director since August 2023, who will step down to take up a new professional opportunity overseas. Garner will remain in his current position until 31 August.

Baker is an experienced biotech executive and public company CEO. His most recent role was as CEO and managing director of ASX-listed Arovella Therapeutics. Prior to joining Arovella, he served as a senior executive at a leading Australian biotechnology-focused venture capital fund.
